Webster Technique
Prenantal Chiropractic Care

Pregnancy is a time of incredible change, but it shouldn't be a time of constant pain. As the body changes, the pelvis can shift out of alignment, leading to lower back pain, sciatica, and "round ligament" discomfort. Webster Technique is a specific, gentle analysis and adjustment to balance the pelvis and support a more comfortable pregnancy.

  • Support a healthy pregnancy

What Is the Webster Technique?

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis that can be coupled with torque release technique or manual hands on adjustments. This analysis focuses on the pelvis and sacrum to ensure proper movement in the sacroiliac region.

This method is safe, non-invasive, and involves no forceful pressure on the abdomen making it comfortable for both mom and baby. We can see moms as early as conception right up until birth.

These gentle adjustments reduce the effects of sacral subluxaiton and SI Joint dysfunction. Reducing this dysfunction allows for a better environment for baby to grow in.

Benefits of Webster Technique

  • For Mom

    • Relief from lower back and hip pain

    • Reduced tension in the pelvic muscles and ligaments

    • Improved posture as the center of gravity shift as baby grows

  • For Baby

    • Optimal room to grow: a balanced pelvis allows the uterus to expand symmetrically

    • Proper positioning: by reducing torsion on the pelvis, the baby has the best possible opportunity to move into the ideal birth position on their own

How It Works

IMG_0506_edited.jpg

The combination of the pelvis and sacrum are the foundation for the uterus. If the foundation is tilted, the ligaments attached become tight and stressed. Two big ligaments involved are the Psoas and Round Ligament

The nervous system runs throughout your body and with pregnancy there is a lot of inflammation and tension that is built up in the sacrum. The reproductive nerves that support birth all originate from S1-S5 nerve roots. Removing any interference with adjustments will help support a healthy birth.

Each plan is customized to what mom needs and what she is presenting with. We work with a combination of adjustments and muscle release.

What to Expect During
Your First Visit

Understanding the process can make your first visit feel more comfortable and help you get the most benefit from the Webster Technique.

Here’s what a typical first visit involves:

  1. Assessment & Nervous System Evaluation: Your chiropractor will begin with a thorough evaluation, which may the following:

    1. Health History: Current symptoms, Past Medical History, Review of Systems, Goals

    2. Objective Findings: Range of Motion, Orthopedic Testing, Reflex Testing, Dermatome Testing

    3. INSiGHT CLA: Nervous system scanning (such as thermal or surface EMG scans) and tone checks to identify where interference is occurring.

  2. Dual-Method Spinal Correction: We believe your care should be as unique as your spine. We specialize in both traditional manual adjustments and the advanced Integrator™ instrument-based technique. While manual therapy provides that classic, hands-on structural alignment many patients love, the Integrator™ offers a precise, "no-twist" alternative. This high-speed, low-force impulse allows us to reset your nervous system and improve nerve communication without the typical "cracking" sounds, making it an excellent choice for those who prefer a gentler, more targeted experience.

  3. Body Integration & Healing: After the adjustment, your nervous system begins integrating the change. Many patients feel relaxed, while others notice improvements over a series of visits as the body adapts and heals.

  4. Personalized Care Plan: Based on your goals and response to care, your chiropractor will guide you on the recommended frequency of visits and any complementary therapies or lifestyle suggestions.

Because TRT emphasizes precision and comfort, most patients describe the experience as gentle and painless — even those who have been hesitant about family chiropractic Saginaw care.
